NICA mentioned in 'The Place to Be' report
Published by the Academy of Social Sciences, this report draws on 24 case studies to illustrate what university-based social scientists are already doing to make places in the UK better – to ‘level up’ economic and social outcomes in different parts of the UK.
We’re thrilled to be included in the ‘Ageing in Newcastle’ section of the new ‘Place to Be’ report, published by the Academy of Social Sciences in partnership with SAGE Publishing, which brings together 24 case studies showcasing what university-based social scientists are doing now to make local areas, businesses and public services better, and improve social and economic outcomes.
It shows the vital role that social sciences will need to play in the ‘levelling up’ agenda, and makes policy suggestions for how that could happen.
