Our Innovation Consultant Poppy Hudson took the UK National Innovation Centre for Ageing’s cargo carrying robot GITA to meet the Elders Council of Newcastle at their event today entitled ‘Go Digital – Opportunities For All? It was a conversation with Chi Onwurah MP which discussed the pros and cons of going digital.
Our Cluster Manager Claire Robinson promoted how important Community Engagement is for the IoCT™ programme where citizen insights underpin all the work we do with businesses developing connected products and services that harness emerging technologies to benefit the longevity of the population.
Later that same day, Claire and our Community Engagement Manager Catherine Butcher had the opportunity to be interviewed by a member of the Elders Council Newcastle to feature on the Sunday 2-4pm segment of Nova Radio North East. They spoke about the UK National Innovation Centre for Ageing’s Internet of Caring Things® (IoCT™) programme, showcasing how they are dedicated to working with companies to harness emerging technologies. Technologies which benefit the longevity of the population and engage with citizens and communities ensuring that real ‘wants’ as well as ‘needs’ are fed back to businesses designing new products or services.
