Centre for Regenerative Medicine

Located at Edinburgh BioQuarter. With new state-of-the-art facilities and a team of over 270 scientists and clinicians, the CRM is uniquely positioned to translate scientific knowledge to industry and the clinic. Research aims to develop new treatments for major diseases including cancer, heart disease, liver failure, diabetes and degenerative diseases such as multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s.

Cambridge Centre for Ageing and Neuroscience (Cam-CAN)

Collaborative research project, launched in October 2010, with substantial funding from the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC). Cam-CAN uses epidemiological, behavioural, and neuroimaging data to understand how individuals can retain cognitive abilities into old age.

Prevention of Diabetes and Related Metabolic Disorders

Its research aims to contribute to the prevention of the growing burden of obesity, type 2 diabetes and related metabolic disorders. Multidisciplinary team of epidemiologists, clinicians, psychologists, and data scientists. Supported by MRC programme funding and external funding (for example NIHR and Wellcome Trust).
