Campus for Ageing and Vitality

Aims to establish the world’s premier centre for healthy ageing and living, becoming an international flagship and focal point for UK healthy ageing, science and innovation. Located on a 30-acre site owned by Newcastle University, the campus boasts co-location of scientific research with business facilities for research, product and service development, residential units for testing and evaluating new approaches to independent living, innovative care provision and skills development.

International Longevity Centre with Just Group PLC

Recently ran the ‘Innovating for Ageing’ programme which aimed to identify solutions to address the challenges faced by ageing consumers at risk of vulnerability due to physical disability, serious illness, dementia or financial exclusion. Up to £10,000 and specialist business support was available to the selected winners to help develop their proposition.

Recently established an innovation function which will aim to support core service innovation as well as explore how to support wider, ageing-focused innovation. Independent Age have been supporting the testing, development and now scaling of the Reconnections service – a Social Impact Bond funded partnership of local organisations, specialist providers and wider stakeholders working together to reduce loneliness in Worcestershire.
