Join us to launch 'The Skills in Us'

Created by young filmmakers at Kaleidoscope CFA in partnership with NICA, 'The Skills in Us' is a collection of short documentaries on the importance of skill-sharing, intergenerational conversations, and keeping skills alive.

Following on from our first film project ‘The Carer in Us’, this second series looks at the skills we have as a legacy to perpetuate not only a profession or a hobby, but who we are as individuals and as a society. It is also about how we transfer these skills to other people, especially if the skills are no longer widely available anymore or perhaps considered ‘outdated’ by the mainstream narrative. We believe systematically sharing knowledge and skills should be a platform to develop an intergenerational narrative, and this is our contribution to this aim.

We’re celebrating with a launch event on November 18th. Join us, the participants of the series, and the creators of the series, at The Catalyst to watch the films and discuss the themes raised. You may even get to try a skill or two!
