Presenting 'Home Alone'

We’re thrilled to be showcasing ‘Home Alone’, a project by Sharon Bailey, in honour of the United Nations’ (UN) International Day of Older Persons on October 1st.

You are invited to The Catalyst to experience a moving performance piece which highlights the real life experiences of older people living in the North East region who are stuck at home for long periods of time, alone.

Following this will be a discussion and Q&A with the artist, Sharon Bailey, and Professor Tom Scharf, on the making of the piece and the issues it explores. We will then discuss with 🐨 Nicola Palmarini how new technologies and innovations might address social isolation.
