Anna Hardwick
Innovation Consultant - IoCT

Anna is an Innovation Consultant for the North-East Combined Authority’s Internet of Caring Things Programme at NICA. She joined the team in November 2025.
Prior to joining NICA, Anna studied Politics and Sociology at undergraduate level, which encouraged her to think critically about the forces that shape society, alongside completing a dissertation analysing the benefits of deliberative democracy. Moreover, Anna was a research intern for a charity dedicated to making public spaces more accessible to everyone.
“I am excited about to be a part of the Internet of Caring Things, and work to with businesses to explore how healthy longevity can be both innovative and inclusive. I am particularly excited about the focus on peoples lived experiences, helping businesses utilise their potential to support happier later lives while creating real economic and social value”.
