Stephanie Pym

It’s such an exciting time to have joined NICA and I’m delighted to take on the role of further expanding the VOICE network beyond the Northeast and across the UK. Throughout my career, I’ve have committed to engaging with seldom heard voices and overcoming inequalities by building honest partnerships and the VOICE network is no different. I love that people with lived experience are at the heart of NICA and the VOICE network empowers citizens to influence impactful innovations for health and longevity”

Stephanie joined the team in November 2022 and is the VOICE Partnership and Engagement Manager at NICA. She is responsible for growing the VOICE Collaboration network in the UK and fostering national partnerships to ensure our VOICE membership continues to represent a diverse range of voices in research and innovation.

Stephanie began her career as a Secondary School Geography Teacher and then went on to work in a variety of participation, community engagement and project management roles across three North East local authorities. During this time, Stephanie has promoted social integration with resettled refugee families, championed youth and community voice with care experienced young people and adults and has maintained partnerships with arts and cultural organisations to raise the profile of cultural capital within schools. Stephanie now strives to channel her experiences from the education and social care sector to promote meaningful citizen insights on healthy ageing and longevity.

Our People

We deal with ageing and longevity. So we deal, first and foremost, with people - their relationship with society, the economy, politics and innovation. Our background is as diverse and holistic as the subject we deal with requires. This is us. Nice to meet you.
